We know God has really burdened some with a desire to meet practical needs even beyond financial needs. This of course is at the center of God's heart as well (Matt 6:33); He is the great meeter-of-needs. While He may do this in miraculous ways, oftentimes He meets our ordinary needs by His care flowing through others.

Living in New York we've noticed we have unique needs. It is less like living in a typical American town and more like living in a European city. Here are some common needs.

Practical Services

• Starbucks or similar (we meet with students and do a significant amount of planning in coffeeshops in the city, you'd essentially be sponsoring our discipleship meetings)

• Shoes - DSW, Nike or similar (the money we'd spend on tires for a car, we actually invest in shoes - that's how we get around here, they have to last! A gift card for shoes can go a long way)

• Grocery deliveries - Peapod or similar (if we are sick or tied to our apartment, these services will deliver groceries right to our apartment door)

• Meal services - Seamless, Grubhub, Uber-eats (to have a meal delivered to us)

• NYC Car Service - Uber or Lyft (allows our family to transport quickly across the city without going up and down subway stairs with a stroller)
